Shoe Overboard

Eston is approaching 18 months and is really entertaining! I will try to post more stories so you all can get a glimpse into his life and so we will have a recording of these moments. My dad takes care of Eston on Monday afternoons. Granddaddy does not like to leave Eston by himself while Eston falls asleep for naps, so today my dad pretended to sleep on the floor by Eston's crib until Eston fell asleep. A few minutes after my dad began his charade, a shoe hit him from above. As the good psychologist that he is, he totally ignored it and continued to pretend to sleep. A second shoe hit him. The plastic teething guard from the crib hit him. He kept pretending, and a few minutes later, Eston gave up and went to sleep too. I find this to be totally hilarious for a few reasons. #1 The image of my dad pretending to sleep on the floor. #2 Eston removing his shoes and throwing them to try to get attention. #3 Sweet boy realizing it isn't working and going to sleep.
